Uneven cement floor that needs tile
Unfortinatly lalready have the tile but l was hoping l could use self
leveling cement then atattch the tile to it. is this even a posability
/>or should l use hardyback board and if l do how can l atattch it to the
cement
just use the self leveler, let it set and install the tile
right on to the floor, no hardybacker needed..( use the right mastic )
lic. gen. contractor
do not use anything from lowes or home depot.
what you need is a self leveling underlayment. go to a concrete supply
house or contractors supply store. I recommend United Products self
leveling underlayment or Dayton Superior is Levelayer I.
Mix it and pour it. that is it. wait a day or 2 and you can lay your tile.
you can probrably use a self leveling floor prep if the floor
is not too bad but that stuff is quite expensive if you need a lot of it.
make sure you read the instructions and follow them.
I used the self leveling concrete mixture and sure enough, it
worked great. Just make sure you do your prep work to ensure excellent
results.
At Home Depot they have a liquid floor evening stuff. It is is
the aisle with the tile and floor care. ask somebody they will know
exactly what it is. trust me
